The branch needles are made of a combination of hardy PE (Polyethylene) and PVC. This is maybe the best quality for artificial trees, because the molded PE gives the realistic look, while the PVC helps supporting these molded branch tips, in a whole that will look like a real pine tree. The tree comes with an included metal tree stand, sturdy enough to support its whole 120 pounds of weight.

By choosing it prelit, installation is much easier and faster rather than if you bought the unlit tree and add your lights afterwards. If you think you'll want to have a different base color for the ornaments from year to year, buying the prelit tree with clear lights is the best way to go.
